Remote users may log issue via the Web. Web input is not constrained by ITC database layout. The input form may match your internal tracking areas - or it may not. The Web interface can apply your business logic to translate the Web input into your desired tracking scheme.
You may have as many different Web front ends as desired. Each front end might be tailored to a specific end-user group, prefilling their particular business needs, thereby minimizing the amount of data input required to submit the issue.
Simple HTMLRemote users can retrive reports on the status of all of their issues at any time. This relieves your support staff of frequent phone calls to check on the status of an issue.
